Public Sculptures: Desert Dreams

Desert Dreams is a new series - the chunky forgings are challenging, but they express a primal authenticity that excites me. Thick sections are drawn blazing from the fire and shaped under heavy hammers—each movement measured, each strike within a fleeting moment before the metal shifts out of range.

Desert Dreams #1 begins this body of work, created for public spaces. Though massive and grounded, its elements sway gently in the wind—less a dance, more a slow negotiation with the forces around it.
