Domestic Shipping Policy

At Christopher Thomson Ironworks, every order is crafted with care at our forge in northern New Mexico. Shipping times can vary depending on the availability of the item, the quantity ordered, and whether custom work is involved. For items in stock, like unique sculptures displayed on our website, orders typically ship within 7 business days after payment is received.

Payment Methods

  • Preferred Payment: Please send checks payable to "River, Inc." via USPS to P.O. Box 578, Ribera, NM 87560, or via FedEx/UPS to 29 Metzger Drive, San Jose, NM 87565.
  • Credit Card Payments: We also accept credit card payments with a 5% processing fee added to the invoice total.

Custom Orders

For custom orders—such as architectural lighting, furniture, and bespoke sculptures—please allow 2-8 weeks for production, starting from the date we receive a 50% deposit. Regular updates will be provided via email, and the remaining balance is due prior to shipping. Delivery for large sculptures and custom architectural pieces may require special arrangements, which we will coordinate directly with you.

Shipping Rates and Delivery Estimates

We ship all ironworks via UPS, with shipping and handling charges calculated based on the package's weight, dimensions, and destination. To ensure the safe transport of our handcrafted items, these charges are assessed individually. A tracking number and estimated delivery date will be provided once your order has been dispatched.

Please note that we do not ship to P.O. boxes and can only deliver to physical addresses.

For larger items such as sculptures, furniture, and beds, we work with select private art delivery services. Delivery quotes and schedules for these larger items will be arranged on a case-by-case basis.

Taxes

  • For orders shipped within New Mexico, sales tax is calculated based on the applicable rate at the delivery location.
  • Orders shipped outside of New Mexico are not subject to New Mexico sales tax.
  • Any customs fees or duties for international shipments are the responsibility of the customer.

Damages

Christopher Thomson Ironworks is not liable for products lost or damaged during shipping. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us immediately to file a claim. Retain all packaging and the damaged item for inspection, and please send us photos to assist with the claim process.
